Shipping

What is the shipping time and what are the shipping costs?

The higher the order value, the lower the shipping costs!

Dreadshop ships packages all over the world with different shipping companies.
The shipping costs of your order will depend on different factors.
 
You can best check the shipping costs relevant for your order at checkout. Our system will calculate the right shipping costs for you there.
❗️Outside the EU, customs clearance costs might be charged on parcels. Dreadshop is not responsible for these costs**. Please check your countries import/ export policies.
*UK Orders: Customers are responsible for VAT and any applicable customs duties, which will be payable upon delivery. We do not charge UK VAT at checkout.
**excluding USA customers. Additional fees are already calculated in prices. 

❗️Dreadshop sends out all the orders on Monday's and Thursdays.

Delivery options and shipping time                                           

USA: FedEx shipping.
Netherlands: Standard postal shipping (Mailbox delivery available for smaller orders).
International: Standard postal shipping available to all other countries.

Once your order is handed over to the carrier:

  • NL Orders: Processed by the carrier the same day.
  • International: Processed by the carrier within 1 business day.

Custom Dreadlock Sets: Due to the handmade nature of these items, please allow approximately 2 months for fulfilment.

❗️Pre orders and back-in-stock products:

Note: for products that are temporarily not in stock, but can be pre ordered, different shipping times apply. When one of the products is not in stock the estimated shipping date will be indicated on the website.

❗️Dreadshop only ships to real, home addresses. We do not ship to PO boxes or Pick up Points. In the case of an order resend, where the original address has been stated wrong, the recipient will bear the shipping costs of the resend order.
Please check your countries tax policy if you are placing an order to an outside of the EU country. Dreadshop is not responsible for customs taxes or duties that may incur in your respective country.


Returns

Are the products not to your liking? Then in most cases you can return them. 
Be aware: we can't accept any return shipments that are sent to us from outside the European Union due to customs. Read more below.

Once we have received your products and inspected them, we will process the order and the amount will be refunded within 14 days.

 ❗️You can only return products when:

  • they are unused and in the original packaging.
  • the order was received no more than 30 days ago.

Dread kits & Dread sets can only be returned as a complete package!

Shipping costs for returning products are at your own expense.

As soon as we receive the return we will inspect the products, process them and refund the money.

❗️IMPORTANT:

Be aware: we can't accept any return shipments that are sent to us from outside the European Union due to customs. If you do ship a parcel to us from outside the EU, it will automatically be returned to sender. We have created a Facebook Marketplace where you can sell your goods. You can find it here.

Please be aware that if you've received a complimentary gift with your order and you choose to return any or all of the products from that order, you are required to either return the complimentary gift along with them, or reach out to orders@dreadshop.com to arrange payment for the gift product. Until the complimentary gift is either returned or paid for, the refund for the order will be placed on hold.

Please note for certain payment methods ( CreditCard and Paypal), transaction fees will be withheld from the refund amount when processing returns/ cancellations. 

Exchanges

Unfortunately we cannot exchange your product. If you’d prefer to receive another product, return the product and then place a new order on the website.

Delivery from €50

We have set a minimum order amount of €50 EUR (excluding shipping costs) on our website. This means that you can only complete the checkout after having a minimum €50 worth of products in the cart.

Why does Dreadshop do this?

Due to rising shipping and logistics costs, we are forced to apply this change.
We use comparatively big amounts of cardboard for small orders and also the same transport costs as for slightly larger orders. This has a major impact on the sustainability of our shipping process and does not fit into our vision. Dreadshop has always tried and will continue to ship as sustainably as possible.

U.S. customers: We currently ship to the U.S. via FedEx only. Please note that import duties, taxes and any customs clearance fees are not included in your order total and may need to be paid before delivery. A €100 minimum order applies to U.S. shipments.

Every Sample Tells a Different Story

Love surprises? The Locks of Love Sample Surprise gives you the chance to discover exclusive Renate’s Locks of Love samples that you won’t find in our regular collection.

Each sample surprise is created around a specific colour theme. You’ll know the colour theme of your sample surprise, but the exact designs, combinations and dreads inside remain a surprise.

Inside you’ll find genuine Renate’s Locks of Love sample dreadlocks: first colour samples, early development versions and exclusive creations from the design process. Some samples were created while developing new colours, while others are unique variations that never became part of the official collection.

Because these are samples, every surprise is completely different. The dreadlocks inside may have different colour combinations, details or designs that make them truly unique pieces from the Locks of Love journey.

To complete your sample surprise, we added matching Henlon Hair braids, DIY accessories and some of our favourite Dreadshop essentials to help you install and decorate your new dreads.

Because each Sample Surprise contains exclusive samples and colour developments, no two are exactly the same.
