You’ll notice especially in the beginning that the Renate’s Locks of Love are a bit more stiff. This might be less practical, but you can compare this with leather shoes like Dr. Martens. These shoes are not comfortable to wear in the beginning because the leather is stiff.
By wearing these shoes more often the leather will become more supple and they’ll become more comfortable to wear. And that’s also true for the Renate’s Locks of Love! The more often you wear them, the more supple and beautiful they will fall.
Tip 1: Wear the Renate’s Locks of Love how you want to wear them
Wear your Synthetic Dreads how you want to wear them! Make buns with them, wear them in a ponytail, make beautiful braids with them and run your hands through them. After a while the Dreads will become more supple.
Tip 2: Wash the Synthetic Dreads before you install them
The Renate’s Locks of Love are made of our Henlon Hair and this Henlon Hair doesn’t contain a chemical coating. So washing your Dreads isn’t really necessary. Washing your Renate’s Locks of Love does help to make the Dreads become a bit more supple. Put them in a washing bag in the washing machine, 30 degrees Celsius is sufficient. You can add a little bit of fabric softener optionally.
Tip 3: Let your Dreads soak in warm water with Conditioner
A fairly easy way to make the Renate’s Locks of Love a bit more supple is to let your Dreads soak in warm water with conditioner. Fill a big bucket with lukewarm water and add a firm dose of conditioner.
Let your Synthetic Dreads soak for about 30 minutes and then rinse them thoroughly. Your Dreads will feel a bit more supple and softer and they’ll also smell really nice!
