How it starts
Bryan from Belgium had been growing his hair so it would be possible to wear dreadlocks. Fun fact: he used to wear his hair long for a while before he decided to shave it off! By now it was long enough so he could have Synthetic dreads installed.
At first he found only afro shops in his search, what they offered was not exactly what he had in mind. Until he found Dreadshop via Google, Bryan found it really helpful that he could find a lot of info on our website. He had a good feeling about Dreadshop right away, so he made an appointment via our website.
Making a mohawk dreadlook happen
Bryan had some specific wishes, he had a head full of curly short hair, but he had quite a different look in mind. So he sent us some photos to see if we could make that happen, and we responded positively to that.
So Bryan came in with his curls, his appointment was scheduled with Suzanne, as her hairdresser skills were needed for the look Bryan had in mind. Before the installation of the synthetic dreads could begin, Suzanne started with sectioning off the sides that Bryan wanted shaved for a mohawk look, and shaved the sides.
Choosing a set of Locks of Love
Bryan had already ordered Synthetic Locks of Love on our Webshop. He brought the Original Locks of Love Midnight in Back length, but he also wanted to add some pink dreads, as pink is his favourite color. Together with Suzanne they chose the Rusty Pink from our display of all the dread colors that we have in our salon, just a couple of them, for a fun highlight between the dark dreads.
In the future, when his hair is longer, perhaps he will decide to get Real dreadlocks, from his own hair. And Bryan is thinking of using his Locks of Love to extend his future real dreads, yes that is possible!
And so, another new Dreadhead has joined our dreadfamily!
