How can I book an appointment to have new Real Dreads made?

Maybe you took your time, weighed all the pros and cons, or maybe you just knew right away. Maybe you’ve even worn Synthetic dreads for a while first. However you got here, you're ready: "I want to get Real Dreads!" Love that for you!

You probably already know whether you want partial dreads or a full head, with extensions or just from your own hair. So now the next question pops up: “Where do I want to get my Real Dreads?” You found Dreadshop through social media (yay!), and you’ve decided this is the place you want to get your dreads: amazing! We're excited to meet you!

Where can I book the appointment for Real Dreads installation?

If you head to our website, you’ll find our handy booking page with all our available appointments. Super convenient! But… you’ll probably notice there’s no option listed for getting Real Dreads. “Hmm, that’s a bit inconvenient,” you’re probably thinking.
But don’t worry, there’s a good reason for that!
Booking an appointment for Real Dreads isn’t something we can just pop into a standard time slot, like we do with installing Synthetic dreads.

Creating Real Dreads takes time. A lot of time.
And it really depends on what you’re going for: are we dreading your own hair, shoulder length hair, or are we extending them, all the way down to your hips?
Do you have fine, thin hair or thick, heavy hair? Are you going for a partial dreads or a full head? All of these details make a big difference.

You can book the Real Dreads appointment via our Consult (Personal Advice) option

That’s why we ask everyone to book a consultation first when it comes to Real Dreads.
You can come visit us in the Salon: this is our favorite consult option because we can feel your hair and properly assess what’s possible. But if you do not live nearby, you can book a consultation online through a video call. This way, we can at least see your hair and talk everything through.

During your consultation, you’ll be able to discuss all your wishes with our Dreadlock expert, we also ask you to prepare some inspirational photos of the Dreadlock styles you like and would want, so we can understand what you like and don’t.
Then we’ll look at what’s realistic for your hair, go over any doubts or questions and help you figure everything out.
Lastly, you will receive a personalized time and price estimate. And if you’re ready to go for it, you can plan your appointment right away!

But even if you're not quite sure whether you want dreads, or not sure whether you should go for Real dreads or Synthetic dreadlocks, partials or full head, with extension or without, what kind of ends you want, have questions about the care, you can book a consult with us! You can book a consultation with no obligations! For example, you can just discuss your doubts, get personal advice and be able to ask all 30 questions you might have about dreads in one go. ;)

In fact, by booking a consult you are not obliged to book an appointment with us afterwards. Getting real dreads is quite a step for many people, as it's a more permanent hairstyle than  synthetic dreads.
So if you are really sure you want real dreads before the consult but after you might want to think about it a bit more, that’s not a problem!
