There is a difference in the thickness of the Dreads, but what else?
The biggest difference is of course the thickness of the Dreads. The Renate's Locks of Love have a diameter of 0.8 - 1.0 mm and the Thin Renate's Locks of Love have a diameter of 0.4 - 0.6 mm.
But in addition to the thickness, there are more differences between these Dreads.
For example, with the Renate's Locks of Love Originals you create more volume than with the Thin Renate's Locks of Love. This all has to do with the thickness of the Dreads.
If you don't want too much volume, you can opt for the Thin Renate's Locks of Love.
The Thin Renate's Locks of Love are smoother
From experience I can say that the Thin Renate's Locks of Love are a bit smoother. That makes it easier to create fun updos. By the way, are you looking for inspiration for updos? Click here for our inspiration videos.
You need 4 bundles of Dreads for a full head
For both the Renate's Locks of Love Originals and the Thin Renate's Locks of Love you need four bundles of Dreads for a full head. A combination of the SE and DE Dreads gives the best distribution (so 2x DE and 2x SE).
If you want a bit more volume, choose three bundles of DE Dreads and a bundle with SE Dreads.
If you don't like too much volume, go for three bundles of SE with a bundle of DE Dreads.
You will find more Dreads in the bundles of the Thin Renate's Locks of Love, so using these Dreads will take more work and take more time.
You can, however, choose the back length or the bum length for both types of Dreads.
Which Dreads can I choose best?
Of course I regularly get the question whether I prefer the Originals or the Thin Dreads. But this is really a very personal choice.
Together with Danielle, Emilie and Ilse I have recorded a video with our experiences about the differences in these Dreads, but also about the differences and personal experiences about the different lengths for example. The great thing in this video is that we all have our personal preferences. Would you like to watch this video? Then watch the video below.
