What kind of look do you have in mind?
With 19 colors in our range, there are countless possibilities. Do you want subtle pops of color, a few accent dreads or some yarn and beads to personalize your set? In this post, we’ll show several examples of clients who added small accents to their natural base for a fresh, unique style.
Choose a natural base, with color/accessories added
Do you want to keep the base natural, but still enjoy subtly adding a touch of color or some accessories? That's possible too! Besides all the natural shades, we also have dreads in fun colors and adding a few dreads in a color can create a completely different look.
Esther
She had worn synthetic dreads before, but not our Locks of Love. She chose the Locks of Love in Sand Storm, where the dark blonde top is a good fit with her dark blonde hair. While choosing the set, she also noticed the Violet by Di and she decided to add a few dreads in that color to make the set a bit more fun! A very nice combination without the color being overpowering.

Kim
She has almost black hair and mostly wears black clothing as well. So instead of going for a full head of Midnight, she chose the color Mossy! The almost black top of these dreads blends very well with her color, while the beautiful mossy green bottom color gives this set some subdued color. The base color here is Mossy, with some Midnight dreads as a low light. Still looks natural, but a bit more edgy!

Birgit
She thought it was time to do something fun with her hair and dreads are the perfect solution! Her hair color consists of various shades of blonde, some lighter and some darker, and she wanted to reflect that in the dreads. A basic set in Honey Blonde and Sand Storm was chosen, but Birgit wanted to add a little extra flair to the set without adding any color. An Accent set is perfect for that: 10 decorated dreads and 2 braids, so the Accent set Beach Babe was added. This is how this set came about, with natural shades and additional decorations in the form of yarn, beads, and charms.

Simone
She's dreamed of full and long hair; her own hair is so thin and fine that she couldn't do much with it. She wanted a somewhat natural look, but with fun accessories. She chose a base of Dark Blonde and Sand Storm, and then added the Pearly Accent Set, which added some soft pink dreads and fun decorations. A perfect combination for a natural look with subtle colors and embellishments! And Simone also has her desired volume and length!

Cindy
She has worn dreads before, including curly dreads and braids. For a while now, her hair has been quite natural in color with various shades of blonde. Previously, she regularly dyed it darker (purple) shades, and she thought it was time to do something fun with her hair again! The color Rusty Pink on our Dread rack in the salon immediately caught her eye, but she found an (almost) entirely pink set a bit too intense, so she chose Hazelnut Dream as the base, with about a third of the pink dreads mixed in. Because the top of the Rusty Pink is also Hazelnut Dream, these two colors combine perfectly, and Cindy has a beautiful new look!

Adding small color or accessory accents is a perfect way to experiment without committing to a full-color change.
