What kind of look do you have in mind?

There are countless possibilities with the 19 colors in our range. You can combine different colors or choose a single (ombré) color.
Ask yourself:
✨ Which look do I like best?
✨ Do you want your new look to look as natural as possible?
✨ Do you prefer a completely different look, choosing a color that's much lighter or darker than your own hair, for example, or a very colorful set?
✨ Or do you prefer to keep the base natural, but with a subtle color or embellishments?

It's all possible; go with what appeals to you most ;)
In this blog post, we'll show you several before and after photos from our clients and explain how these sets were chosen.

A very natural look with dread extensions

Many clients who get their first set of Locks of Love extensions in our salon are aiming for the most natural look possible. They've often been thinking about getting dreads for a while, and it can be a bit scary: how will it look?

Because it's already a completely different look, dreads that match their natural hair color are often chosen. In that case it's important to choose one or more dread colors that are as close as possible to your own hair color. Because the dreads are braided into the hair, your own hair will still be visible in the braid. The smaller the color difference between your own hair color and the dreads, the less visible the braid will be, and your new look will therefore look more natural.

Britta

She has dark blonde hair and wanted a beautiful, natural-looking set. Her dark blonde hair color is somewhere between Dark Blonde and Hazelnut Dream, so we chose those two as the base for her set. With spring approaching, Britta thought it would be nice to add a lighter color as a highlight, so Sand Storm was added. The dark blonde top of this ombré color still matches her natural hair color, while the lighter bottom creates a subtle highlight. These three colors combined create a beautiful, natural look.

Eline

Before her appointment in our Salon, she dyed her hair a beautiful warm brown and wanted a dread color that would complement it. She wanted a look that wasn't too boring, so her eye quickly fell on the ombré Oaky color, which consists of two shades. The top is a warm brown that perfectly matches Eline's hair color, and the bottom is a slightly lighter reddish brown. An ombre color creates a more playful color, while the dreads still match her hair color beautifully. An ombré set comes to full bloom when the entire set is worn in the same color.

Robin

He had real dreads for a while and wanted to get back that natural dread look, but with the Locks of Love. His hair has a fairly even color: dark brown, and the Dark Chocolate shade was an almost perfect match, so the choice was easy this time!

Ilana

Her natural hair color is dark blonde, but she regularly dyes it more vibrant colors. For the upcoming fall, she dyed her hair a beautiful copper shade. And of course, the dreads had to match that beautiful vibrant color. In fact, when dyeing her hair, she had the Go Ginger color in mind, and it turned out well, and Go Ginger was a great match!

Martin

He has a couple of different sets so he can change his look. But if he wants a very natural looking set, he picks his Caramel Twist set. The top shade of this Ombré color is a dark brown that matches quite well with his haircolor. While the bottom color is a lighter dark blonde shade. The perfect ombré color to wear a lighter look when you have darker hair, it’s a very beautiful combination and one of our most popular colors. When Martin wears this set his colleagues think they are real dreads of his own hair!

Lisa

She wanted a natural look for her first set of Locks of Love. With her own color, a beautiful medium brown shade between Hazelnut Dream and Dark Chocolate, these colors together made a beautiful base. To give the set a little more depth, Lisa chose to add some dreads in Caramel Twist, these ombre dreads with a lighter underside provide a beautiful highlight in her set.
